Validation of the Generic Name Palisada (Rhodomelaceae, Rhodophyta)

ABSTRACT
The name Palisada, which recently was proposed but not validly published for a new genus in the Laurencia complex, is validated by the provision of a Latin diagnosis. Relevant nomenclatural changes for several species of Chondrophycus are included.
