Morphologic Accounts on the Diatom Genus Aulacoseira, the Dominant of the Han River

Aulacoseira species collected from the Han River in Korea have been examined by scanning electron microscopy. The aim of this study is to examine some morphological variations of the Aulacoseira species in Korean freshwater materials and to elucidate their identity. Four types of Aulacoseira granulata species could be observed: A. granulata, A. granulata var. angustissima, intermediate from of A. granulata and A. granulata var. angustissima and another from of A. granulata group.
