A Taxonomic Appraisal on Campylaephora crassa (Ceramiaceae, Rhodophyta)

A variable red alga Campylaephora crassa was examined for a relationship among infraspecific categories. A morphological continuum between forms sensu Nakamura was observed in authentic specimens and in the field, that needs further experimental approaches. The taxonomic and biogeographic relationship of C. crassa to related taxa is also discussed.
