ABSTRACT
The monotypic genus Makinoella was reported for the first time for Korea. For the first time a pyrenoid is recorded for Makinoella tosaensis. According to the cellulosic microfibrils in the cell wall, inclusion of the genus in the Oocystaceae was justified.
Key words: cell wall, Makinoella, microfibrils, Oocystaceae, pyrenoid
