ABSTRACT
Three marine algae, Codium saccatum Okamura, Kintokiocolax aggregatocerantha Tanaka et Nozawa and Ardissonula regularis (Okamura) De Toni were known to grow in the subtidal zone of Cheju Island, Korea. C. saccatum is characterized by sac-like thallus with empty inner cavity, depressed globose form, subcylindrical to obovate utricles with slight sinus at middle. K. aggregatocerantha is parasitic on the thallus of Prionitis angusta and appear to be a small wart-like form. A. regularis is characterized by the distinctive bilateral arrangement of trichoblasts. The tetrasporangia of A. regularis are born in decussate arrangement of pairs in each segment of the upper part of branches bearing simple trichoblasts.
Key words: Codium saccatum, Kintokiocolax aggregatocerantha, Ardissonula regularis, morphology
