A Reappraisal of Amphora Species in Korean Freshwaters
Kyung Lee
Department of Biology, Song Sim College for Women
ABSTRACT
Amphora species collected from the Han River in Korea have been studied by scanning electron microscopy. The aim was to check on the distribution of commonly reported species(A. ovalis, A normanii and A. pediculus) and to determine some variations in morphology. Unfortunately, however, the real A. ovalis and A. normanii were not present and some morphological variations of A. copulata and A. pediculus could be observed.
Key words: Amphora, freshwater
